Refreshed. This word is befitting the multi-million dollar renovation of the 816,000+ square-foot super regional shopping center. Dakota Square has a new look and it certainly is a breath of fresh air.  
Multiple enhancements including a new color palette of soft blues, grays and muted earth tones for the mall’s common area. The existing flooring was replaced with new tile and carpet, and interior finishes reflect the area’s natural beauty with looks of natural stone and wood.  Contemporary new overhead drum and pendant lighting create a light, airy ambiance.   The food court was updated with new furniture and seating configurations designed for family and community dining. New soft seating replaced the mall’s wooden benches, creating ‘conversation’ areas perfect for relaxing and chatting with friends.  There are also three separate charging stations strategically placed in the center for use by our guests and are free of charge.
Dakota Square recently had a very robust Wi-Fi system installed. This service is also free to guests. Dakota Square welcomed SRT Communications as one of their newest business partners. SRT is the sponsor of the new Wi-Fi system.

The mall was originally built in 1980 and expanded several times, including the addition of Barnes & Noble in 2008 and a new nine-Screen Carmike Cinema.

Gourmet Chef, located in Downtown Minot, is a complete gourmet kitchen supply shop. Started in 1993, the store carries a full line of bakeware, cookware, top of the line cutlery, small appliances, and hundreds of kitchen tools.
