“April Pools Day,” recognized by aquatic organizations and health providers across the nation, is designed to teach families about water safety, raise awareness of the hazards associated with water, and prevent drowning in pools, bathtubs and all bodies of water.
Seminars and demonstrations led by local organization representatives will include how to properly wear a life jacket, information on first aid and CPR, and the best ways to watch children near water.
In addition to safety stations, “April Pool’s Day Parker County” will have various activities for children including water safety inspired crafts and coloring and will provide educational material about local waterways.
