In business for over 80 years, Amick Farms has grown to more than 3,500 team members, more than 300 family farm partners, and three totally integrated poultry production complexes - one located in Batesburg, South Carolina, one in Hurlock, Maryland and one in Laurel, Mississippi- allowing us to actively manage every step of the production process from the egg to the final product, delivered to our customers. Producing over 1 billion pounds of quality chicken products annually, quality, integrity and service remain core values at Amick Farms. We are committed to meeting ever-evolving team member, customer and consumer needs through a variety of nationally distributed program options.

The Pugh Farm has operated a livestock farm for over 50 years.  I inherited the farm from our father on March 18, 1986. The average size for the area is 40-50 cows and 20 goats.
We grow most of our forage and grain, and raise our own bottle-feed calves.

University of Maryland Extension faculty and staff are professionals engaged in non-formal educational programs that address economic, environmental, technical, and social concerns of all citizens.

UME faculty and staff efforts are supported by a multitude of dedicated volunteers. UME programs in 4-H, family and consumer science, agriculture,horticulture and natural resources are carried out in response to the needs of the people of the state. Local field staff develop educational programs tailored to the unique problems of their area.

The Wicomico Soil Conservation District was organized in 1942 to assist farmers and landowners to protect and promote healthy soils, water, forests and wildlife in Wicomico County.

With dedication to customer service and quality product they strive to educate the customer on the importance of agriculture. Providing local customers and travelers fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, gifts and seasonal farm tours to support the education process.
