The Pugh Farm has operated a livestock farm for over 50 years.  I inherited the farm from our father on March 18, 1986. The average size for the area is 40-50 cows and 20 goats.
We grow most of our forage and grain, and raise our own bottle-feed calves.

University of Maryland Extension faculty and staff are professionals engaged in non-formal educational programs that address economic, environmental, technical, and social concerns of all citizens.

UME faculty and staff efforts are supported by a multitude of dedicated volunteers. UME programs in 4-H, family and consumer science, agriculture,horticulture and natural resources are carried out in response to the needs of the people of the state. Local field staff develop educational programs tailored to the unique problems of their area.
