I help qualified homeowners to be financially prepared for their retirement years. I am committed to educating retirees on the value of the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM). The HECM was created by the US government during President Reagan's term. The program is designed to utilize home equity as part of a comprehensive financial plan. It can be used to defray the costs of aging in place, pay for home improvements, fund travel plans, or pay off debt, just to name a few of the many ways a HECM can be used. Financial Advisors are realizing the benefits of the HECM as a way to minimize sequence of returns risk for those early in retirement, to fund long term care, and as a bridge to maximize social security benefits. My goal is to provide the education required to determine if a HECM is a good fit for each client.
