The Lewisville Lake Symphony is celebrating its 40th season offering many opportunities to community citizens, including:
• Four Symphony Series concerts held at the Lewisville Grand Theater featuring its all-professional orchestra under Maestro Adron Ming. • Four Lewisville Lake International Chamber Series concerts at Trinity Presbyterian in Flower Mound presented in cooperation with the University of North Texas.
• "Peter and the Wolf" family concert in cooperation with the LakeCities Ballet targeted at pre- and early-elementary kids.
• Two student competitions with scholarship prizes - the Vernell Gregg Young Artists Competition for highly talented middle and high school students and the International Competition for 18-30 students pursuing professional career in performance.
• Intern program for 8th-12th grade students.
• Educational concert attended by every 3rd grader in LISD featuring a full symphony orchestra.
• Program to help Scouts earn their music appreciation merit badges.
• Opportunity and Diversity program that provides concert tickets to underserved students.
