December Holiday Art Workshops!
Intro to Stained Glass Class
Session 1: Sunday, December 1 from 1-3 PM
Session 2: Sunday, December 8 from 1-3 PM
Create your own beautiful stained glass holiday ornament! A
condensed two-day beginner workshop will introduce you to the fine art of
Tiffany-style stained glass. Students can choose between one of four patterns:
an angle, Christmas Ornament, Christmas Tree, or Holly.
All materials will be provided including glass, patterns, tools,
and equipment.
Session 1: An introduction to stained glass; students will learn
about different types of glass and stained-glass styles, select a pattern, and
choose from an assortment of glass to complete their projects. Students
will learn to use tools to score and cut glass and complete a rough layout of
their projects.
Session 2: Students will prepare their projects for soldering
using the Tiffany method of copper foiling. Each piece of glass will be edged
with copper foil using a four-step process. Students will be amazed at how
their projects transform into beautiful works of art!
Grinding and soldering will be completed by the instructor. Completed
soldered projects will be available for pick-up at SCAHC after December 13th.
*If you wear readers, bring them! You will definitely need your
eyes! Closed-toed shoes and safety glasses are highly recommended, especially
when cutting glass.*

Glass Fusion Ornaments
Friday, December 13
3:00-5:00 PM
Join Marcelle Rollinger and make your own glass ornaments!
In this class, you will be shown the basics of glass fusion and
how to cut glass in a supportive environment. You will be introduced to
the different kinds of glass (glass sheets, frit, stringers, paint, and
vitrograph) and how you can use them to design your ornament.
Your creation will then be taken back to Marcelle’s studio to be fired. SCAHC will send out an email when your pieces are ready to be picked up.

Etching Slate Coasters Class
Friday, December 13
6:30 – 8:30 PM
Create your own coasters by choosing one of several available
designs to etch on round or square slate coasters! At the end of this class,
you will be able to take home 2 coasters with fun, holiday designs.
This is a fun way to spend an afternoon and make Christmas Gifts!
You will be taking the coasters home with you at the end of the class.
Additional coasters will be available for purchase on the day of the class.
Students over age 21 are welcome to bring their own
"refreshments" to "sip".

designs to etch on stemless wine glasses! At the end of this class, you will be
able to take home 2 stemless wine glasses with fun, holiday designs.
This is a fun way to spend an afternoon and make Christmas Gifts!
You will be taking the glasses home with you at the end of the class.
Additional wine glasses will be available for purchase on the day of the class.
Students over age 21 are welcome to bring their own
