Samaritan Center Receives Grant From The Lynch Awareness Fund of the Dripping Springs Community Foundation

Dripping Springs, TX - Samaritan Center is pleased to announce the enhancement of its mental health services in Dripping Springs, thanks to a generous $1,000 grant from The Lynch Awareness Fund of the Dripping Springs Community Foundation. This funding has been instrumental in broadening the scope of counseling treatment options and enhancing the quality of mental health care for local residents.

The grant has facilitated the purchase of various therapeutic supplies to support play-based interventions. These include new play therapy figurines, art supplies, children’s books, and games. These tools are vital for helping children and adolescents express themselves and heal from trauma through play.

The grant also enabled the acquisition of Touchpoint Essentials, a neuroscientific wellness device that reduces the negative impacts of stress. It supported office upgrades with a new desk, motivational posters, and wall art, creating a fresh and welcoming environment.

With this support, Samaritan Center’s Dripping Springs-based therapist, Jan Venable, M.Ed., LPC-S, is participating in a professional development workshop titled "IFS Immersion: Integrating Internal Family Systems (IFS) Across Clinical Applications." IFS is a powerful, evidence-based psychotherapy that helps individuals identify the roots of conflict within the context of their family systems, leading to greater well-being. Integrating IFS into her practice will enable Jan to provide more comprehensive care to children and adults in the community.

Samaritan Center is dedicated to continuing its mission of providing high-quality mental health services to the Dripping Springs community at its office located at 28465 RR 12. The Lynch Awareness Fund of the Dripping Springs Community Foundation’s generous support has made these advancements possible.
