Recently,
On The Wings of Angels was asked to be featured exclusively by CBS Detroit News
for an incredible survivor donation we facilitated. We can accomplish these
things because of generous communities like ours. This cause is monumentally
important and bigger than all of us.
In a
touching testament to community spirit, a family recently donated their
deceased father's car to our organization. In mourning their loss, they chose
to honor his memory by entrusting us with the mission of helping someone in
need. They knew this vehicle could be a lifeline for someone in need, and they
entrusted us with the privilege of passing it on to a survivor who has shown
remarkable strength.
We
are humbled to announce that this car has found its new home with the first
survivor we ever served. Over the past year, she has shown incredible courage
and determination, breaking free from the cycle of abuse to create a brighter
future for herself and her four children. Her journey of perseverance and hope
perfectly symbolizes the new chapter she is creating for her family. This story
is the heart of our mission, and we couldn’t be prouder.
As a
nonprofit free from bureaucratic red tape, our goal is to serve domestic
violence survivors, empowering them to rebuild their lives. This heartwarming
story showcases the power of a united community. We extend our deepest
gratitude to our generous donors and all who support our mission.
