Advocate Aurora Health and Beaumont Health have been exploring a potential partnership. Both organizations approved a non-binding letter of intent that paves the way to deeper discussions to create a leading regional health care system that would span across Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois. Please know, Beaumont and Advocate Aurora were in discussions prior to the pandemic at the end of 2019 and in early 2020. However, partnership discussions paused to allow both organizations to focus exclusively on responding to COVID-19. Rest assured, Beaumont will still be a significant leader in Michigan as we have been, while creating a stronger regional health system with a like-minded peer. The next step is due diligence to determine the details of a definitive agreement between the two organizations. Pending standard regulatory review and approval, we hope to finalize the agreement later this year.
