HalloweenScience at Cranbrook Institute of Science Celebrates Scary Science

The spookiest,and most popular annual event the Institute offers will dazzle scientist wannabes young and old. Activities include Dr. Frankenstein's Electrical Circuits created using household items like lemons, pennies, and nails; the experience of touching and viewing skulls and pelts of different Michigan mammals; looking at, touching, and, for the very brave, holding a giant Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, or creating Dragon's Breath using liquid nitrogen. A wide range of activiities offers something for every age. Costumes are encouraged!

Halloween tickets for pre-registered attendees are $13 per child and $2 per adult for Members, and $16 per child and $5per adult for the generalpublic. Pre-registration closes at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 16. Only pre-registered guests are guaranteed a goodie bad. Walk-uptickets are an additional $3 each at the start of the event and availability is not guaranteed. Two sessions are offered: 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

The Institute will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, October 16 and will remainclosed until 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 18. Every Halloween Science ticket includes admission to National Geographic's "Women of Vision" Exhibition.

Cranbrook Institute of Science, Michigan's Museum of Natural History, is part of the world-renowned Cranbrook Educational Community in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
