Lingenfelter Collection Fall Open House- Benefitting The Pink Fund

The mission of The Pink Fund is to provide a 90 day non-medical financial bridge to Michigan breast cancer patients in active treatment. Expenses supported include health insurance premiums, housing, transporation and utilities. The Pink Fund helps to meet basic needs and decrease stress levels, helping breast cancer patients strengthen their fight to improve survivorship outcomes and quality of life.

    - 50% of bankruptcies are the result of illness or illness related job loss
    - In 6 months, a health crisis can throw a family into bankruptcy or homelessness.
    - 47% of our national workforce is women
    - 73% of women work full time

    - 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime
    - Average treatment lasts 6 months
    - In 2013, an estimated 232,340 new cases of invasive breast cancer were expected to be diagnosed among US women, as well as an estimated 64,640 additional cases       of in situ breast cancer.

Guests attending the Open House will be able to support The Pink Fund by making a monetary donation at the door. Donors of $100+ recieve a limited edition event hoodie; $50-$90 recieve a limited edition event t-shirt; and $25-$49 recieve a themed novelty item. In addition, guests may purchase the limited edition Lingenfelter/The Pink Fund event hoody and t-shirt, as well as other select merchandise, at the event. Partial proceeds from the merchandise sold will be donated to the Fund. Refreshments will be available while guests browse the many collectable cars and enjoy a display by Brighton Harley-Davidson.

About The Pink Fund: While fighting for their lives, many breast cancer patients in active treatment lose their livelihoods. Unable to work, patients often face catastrophic financial losses. The Pink Fund, founded in 2006 by breast cancer survivor, Molly MacDonald, who experienced this herself, provides individuals in active treatment with up to 90 days of direct financial assistance to cover non-medical expenses, such as helth insurance premiums, housing, transportation and utilities. the Pink Fund helps to meet basic needs and decrease stress level, helping breast cancer patients strengthen their fight to improve survivorship outcomes and quality of life.

About The Lingenfelter Collection:This private collection of over 200 vehicles is hailed as one of the best rate car collections in the world. Belonging to Ken lingenfelter, the collection is 40% Corvettes, 30% Muscle Cars and 30% Exotics. At times, Ken and his wife Kristen open the collection to the public for viewing, with all proceeds going to charity.
