Birmingham
Youth Assistance is now accepting nominations for its Youth in Service award
program, a celebration of local high school and middle school students who have
demonstrated a passion for helping others in our community. Nominated students
will be honored at a spring event and will receive commendations from elected
officials at the local, state, and national levels. Selected “All Star”
students also will receive financial awards. This recognition will strengthen
any college or scholarship application.
Public
or private school students in grades 6 through 12 who live or are educated
within the geographic area served by the Birmingham Public School district are
eligible. If you know a middle school or high school student who has a passion
for helping others, please make their families aware of this opportunity.
Additional eligibility criteria and nomination forms can be found at www.birminghamyouthassistance.com. The nomination deadline is March 14, 2025. Questions
can be emailed to BYAYouthServingOthers@gmail.com.
