Friendship Botanic Gardens recently welcomed its new Wedding
Coordinator Kylie Sutter, who will manage weddings and special events for the
upcoming 2025 season. Kylie first joined The Gardens in 2021 as a weddings
assistant, and she returned in 2024 as an intern before stepping into her
current role.
Every year Friendship Botanic Gardens hosts over 65 wedding
ceremonies and receptions, along with special private events like corporate
retreats and engagement parties. The Gardens are home to ten unique venues
located throughout 105 acres of natural areas and formal gardens.
“The Gardens are thrilled to have Kylie on board as we head into
wedding season. She brings a fresh perspective along with a solid foundation in
event planning.” Said Jenilee Peterson, Director of Friendship Botanic Gardens.
A proud first-generation college graduate, Sutter earned her
Bachelor of Science in Recreation, specializing in Tourism, Hospitality, and
Event Management, from Indiana University. Through her education and
internships, including her time with the FFA as a Convention Collegiate
Assistant, Kylie gained extensive experience in planning, logistics, and
crafting seamless event experiences.
When she’s not planning events at The Gardens, Kylie enjoys
spending time at Northwest Indiana’s beaches and hiking trails, exploring
Chicago’s vibrant restaurant scene, cooking creative meals, and relaxing with
her cat, Jordan.
Helping couples bring their unique vision to life is Kylie’s
passion. She understands that every couple’s story is one of a kind and she
takes pride in guiding each couple with kindness, honesty, and meticulous
attention to detail.
