After months of diligent work behind the scenes, the La Porte County Historical Society is thrilled to announce the Online Collection. Accessed via the "Research" tab at laportecountyhistory.org , visitors can now search through a portion of the Society's photograph collection. At launch, the focus of the Online Collection will be the Dr. M. Barbara Backer Medical Collection. With thousands of images surrounding medical care in La Porte County already uploaded, more will be added each month until the entirety of the Backer Collection is searchable online. Soon after, work will begin on scanning and adding the photography collection housed in the Society's archives. We hope that you enjoy searching through the Backer Collection.
