The Modern Maturity Center in Dover hosts its annual Community Education and Health Fair, Thursday, June 21, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The family-oriented event features something for all ages. Local businesses and agencies are invited to provide information on everything from travel and safety to financial and beauty tips. Event sponsors this year are The Delaware State News, Caring Hearts Home Care, Humana, and Bayhealth.
According to Event Coordinator Mark Lewis, “We want to make our fair a fun event for the entire family. Whether it is parents and children or grandparents and grandchildren, there is something for everyone,” said Lewis. “We want to give the community an opportunity to visit the center and learn about what is available here in Kent County in the way of services, information and opportunities.”
In addition to the event sponsors, some of the exhibitors scheduled to attend are AARP, Better Business Bureau, Delaware Department of Justice, Delaware State Housing Authority, Eye Specialists of Delaware, Forrest Avenue Animal Hospital, Pivot Therapy, Shorecare of Delaware and many more! More than 60 exhibitors will be on hand for this year’s fair. For the kids, there are popcorn, balloons and face painting.
The four-hour fair is open to the public and admission is free. Sponsors are providing door prizes that will be awarded throughout the day. Free parking is available in the rear of the Center. For more information on exhibitor space, call Mark Lewis, 302-734-1200 x188.
