The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) has released its latest update for the mobile app which now includes text notifications of traffic advisories. 

Users will have the ability to choose from a list of advisory notifications such as: incidents, construction, congestion, road closure, events, special travel alerts, and weather. In addition users will be able to set the miles radius from their location for which to receive the text notification. This new feature will further assist the user to better plan their travels throughout the state. You can make your selections in the Preferences Section of the DelDOT app.

“DelDOT continues to expand the services offered through our app to provide users with even more information about real-time travel conditions,” said Secretary of Transportation Jennifer Cohan. “This is yet another example of how we continue to innovate and utilize technology across the department to better serve the residents of Delaware.”

The DelDOT App has been downloaded more than 78,000 times to date, and is available for Apple & Android smartphones and tablets, and can be downloaded free by searching for “DelDOT” at the Apple and Google Play stores.
