After an extensive Nationwide Search, Dover Federal Credit Union has hired Janell Upton to the position of President & CEO. Effective January 23, Upton will assume the leadership role, succeeding former CEO, Chaz Rzewnicki, who has moved on as CEO of Vibe Credit Union in Novi, Michigan and interim CEO, Donna Kiscaden who will return to her role as CFRO.
Upton is experienced, poised and passionate about the opportunity to lead Delaware’s fastest growing credit union. “I am honored to be selected as the next President and CEO of Dover Federal Credit Union,” said Upton. “I look forward to leading this exceptional credit union and talented team to further assist our members in reaching their financial goals and enabling growth and change that benefits the staff, the organization, and the communities we serve.”
“Janell not only has 25 years of financial services experience, most of that time spent at credit unions” said Cory Thomas, Dover Federal Board Chairman, “she brings with her over a decade of service providing financial literacy training and counseling to those in need.” The Board of Directors emphasized that community will remain a core focus for Dover Federal, both through products designed to get our members where they need to be, as well as through our charitable contributions and volunteer hours in support of our regions underserviced and in-need communities. Thomas continued, “we are delighted to have Janell joining the DFCU team and know our future is bright with her in this role.”
