DART Launches Annual Poster Contest
Wilmington, DE
02/18/2022 03:35 PM

"Stuff The Bus 25th Anniversary Logo Challenge" is the theme for DART’s Annual Poster Contest. Open to school-age children grades 6 through 12, the contest is designed to encourage students to learn more about public transportation and its benefits to the community, as well as the chance to see their artwork featured by DART in various advertisements, promotions, and displays.

Every year, DART partners with the Food Bank of Delaware for our annual "Stuff The Bus" Thanksgiving Food Drive. DART strives to collect a generous amount of non-perishable food items to help Delawareans in need. This year, our goal is to collect 25 tons of food to match the anniversary, and we’re encouraging students to create a logo which illustrates and celebrates 25 years of Stuff The Bus. To date, DTC, with the help of employees, riders, businesses and the generous public, has collected 520,000 lbs. of food, that’s 260 tons!

With continuous improvement and growth of transit services statewide, DART uses this opportunity to inform and promote the advantages of using public transit, and its benefits to the community. Posters must be submitted by March 25, 2022, to DART Poster Contest, Marketing Department, 119 Lower Beech Street, Wilmington, DE 19805. A fifty-dollar Visa gift card will be awarded to our Grand Prize Winner and twenty-five-dollar Visa gift cards will be awarded to each grade level winner.

Interested schools are being asked to conduct the contest within the appropriate grade levels at their respective schools and forward the entries to DART for judging. Individuals who wish to enter apart from their school may do so if they are in Grades 6 through 12. For details and contest instructions, please call (302) 576-6143, or visit DART’s website at DartFirstState.com.
