Job Requirements

• Oregon License to prepare tax returns (LTP or LTC)
• Windows operating system proficiency 
• No tax preparation experience necessary, we offer training for new preparers
• Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus

Job Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in office software (including but not limited to: email, Google docs, sheets, adobe pdf, and data entry software)
• Knowledge of standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and phones 
• Ability to write, speak and interact clearly and professionally when interacting with clients in person, on the phone, and in all digital communications
• High level of accuracy with typing, grammar, spelling, and math
• Capability to handle information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality
• Willingness to learn and grow

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct client intake interviews, in person, phone or video conference
• Data entry of client documentation
• Research and reporting for proper tax treatments of income, deductions and credits, federal and all states, primarily Oregon
• Follow up with clients with questions or clarifications
• Prepare worksheets and other supplemental reports necessary for completion of tax returns
• Review and proof tax returns completed by other preparers
• E-file returns
• Print and prepare client packets for final return documents
