Michelbook
Country Club is seeking a part-time backwait runner to join our service team
for our busy summer season. Michelbook Country Club is a private golf course
and club, which has been a fixture in McMinnville for more than fifty years.
Our clubhouse features a restaurant and lounge in addition to a full 18-hole
golf course. We offer an upscale casual dining experience as well as a patio
bar, convince cart as well as hosting several member and community events
throughout the year.
This
position has a flexible schedule and may include evening, weekend and holiday
hours. Average shifts vary between 4 & 10 hours. An ideal candidate will be
available during our normal operating hours as well as additional hours for
events. Our current operating hours are as follows:
- Monday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Tuesday - Thursday 11:00 am - 8:30 pm
- Saturday - Sunday 8:00 am - 8:30 pm
Applicants
must currently have or be able to obtain a Food Handlers Permit and OLCC
Servers Permit prior to start. Per OLCC requirements applicants must be at
least 18 years of age in order to serve alcoholic beverages as required by this
position. Must be able to stand for the entire shift and lift 35 lbs.

Provides food and beverage service to club members and guests
Job
Tasks (Duties)
- Delivering food: Bringing meals from the kitchen to the lounge,
dining room and patio making sure to deliver them to the right tables
- Delivering beverages: Bringing drinks from the bar to guests in the
lounge, dining room and patio to making sure to deliver them to the right
tables.
- Setting tables: Fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating
utensils, and napkins
- Cleaning: Removing dirty dishes and utensils, and helping maintain
clean tables
- Providing service: Checking in with customers, and taking additional
orders and communicating to appropriate servers to ensure accurate final
bill presentation.
- Communicating: Communicating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure
orders are being delivered as quickly as possible, and communicating with
customers to explain meals and provide exceptional customer service
- Following standards: Ensuring food is served in accordance with
safety standards (e.g. proper temperature) and upholding food health and
safety standards
- Accommodating requests: Making sure families with young children get
kids menus and special silverware sets, and accommodating special requests
- Providing support: coordinating with waitstaff and kitchen staff to
assist with any additional tasks needed to provide an exceptional service
to our members and guests.
