Michelbook Country Club is seeking a part-time
server/bartender to join our service team. Michelbook Country Club is a private
golf course and club, which has been a fixture in McMinnville for more than
fifty years. Our clubhouse features a restaurant and lounge in addition to a
full 18-hole golf course. We offer an
upscale casual dining experience as well as a patio bar, convince cart as well
as hosting several member and community events throughout the year.
This position has a flexible schedule and may include
evening, weekend and holiday hours. Average shifts vary between 4 & 10
hours. An ideal candidate will be available during our normal operating hours
as well as additional hours for events. Our current operating hours are as
follows:
- Monday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Tuesday - Thursday 11:00 am -
8:30 pm
- Saturday - Sunday 8:00 am - 8:30
pm
Our department is growing and there is room for qualified
employees to advance into full-time and managerial positions after probationary
period and performance review. Full-time employment includes additional base
wages, group medical and dental benefits, and paid vacation time.
Applicants must currently have or be able to obtain a Food
Handlers Permit and OLCC Servers Permit prior to start. Per OLCC requirements
applicants must be at least 21 years of age in order to mix drinks as required
by this position. Must be able to stand for the entire shift and lift 35 lbs.

Summary:
Provides food and beverage service to club members and guests
Job Tasks (Duties)
- Sets up side station and performs
assigned side work.
- Uses proper phone etiquette and
accepts reservations.
- Provides immediate attention to
all members/guests upon arrival.
- Distributes Menus, answers
questions, suggests menu items and introduces daily specials.
- Knows food and beverage items
that are being served. Such as the ingredients, seasonings, etc. along
with how to serve and retrieve these items.
- Anticipates members/guests needs.
Must have a sense of urgency, each and every time.
- Takes, prepares, and serves
beverage orders as appropriate.
- Be aware of alcoholic serving
techniques and responsibilities.
- Takes members’/guests food orders.
- Places orders with kitchen;
informs cooks about any special cooking instruction.
- Checks back to ensure
member/guest satisfaction; replenishes water as necessary.
- Bus tables as needed or as
directed.
- Verifies accuracy of prices and
other charges on all checks.
- Presents bill.
- Handles all cash and credit card
charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
- Understands point of sale system
and ensures accuracy.
- Advises Service Supervisor of any
complaints as they occur.
- Performs clean-up, pre-set and
closing duties as assigned by Service Supervisor.
