Media Specialist - Graphic Designer

  • Serve as the college’s primary graphic designer, providing creative and innovative design concepts for use in both digital and print spaces.
  • Support and enhance the college’s brand identity by ensuring quality and consistency in all branded materials, both print and digital – including but not limited to promotional items, marketing materials, digital signage, vehicle wraps, etc.
  • Lead the development of graphics and visual communications for digital/print use, including but not limited to brochures, rack cards, fliers, postcards and other materials that promote the college to both internal and external audiences.
  • Track and fulfill print shop work orders in a timely manner, while managing “client” relationships and providing regular progress updates.
  • Assist other college departments to create promotional materials as needed;
  • Help provide brand guidelines, tutorials and templates for use across campus, and help monitor and approve their usage.
  • Collaborate with Enrollment & Marketing team to develop and submit advertising collateral for year-round ad campaigns, including but not limited to geofencing, social media ads, theater ads, YouTube TrueView, etc.
  • Work closely with interdepartmental teams to provide Marketing & PR/Graphic Design assistance in support of the four key directions of the college’s strategic plan (i.e. enrollment, curriculum, campus culture and community collaboration).
  • Support the college’s social media efforts by creating and sharing graphic/ multimedia content across various platforms.
  • Manage the creation of messages and images for use on the college’s electronic signs and on any traditional/digital billboards the college may be running.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and design software to keep Lewis and Clark at the forefront in Marketing & PR.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts or a related field.
  • Experience in graphic, publication, and advertising design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Illustrator, InDesign & Photoshop).
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
  • Exceptional creativity and attention to detail.
  • Excel at communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple design projects at a time and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Be a self-starter, but also have excellent collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work in a Mac environment.
