2025 St. Paddy’s Fest in Denison, Iowa

For over 35 years, the Irish Clans (and Non-Irish Clans) have gathered to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Denison, andthe tradition is continuing  This year’s Irish Mother will be Ruth (Gaughn) Remmes, and our Grand Marshal is Terry Lally.

A few exciting changes have been made to the day. See the details below.

Parade Details
-Lineup: 12:00 PM on 1st Ave North in front of the post office – lineup as you arrive. 
-Walkers: To keep the parade moving, please line up toward the back. 
-US Honor Guard: The American Legion and Denison Fire Department will proudly carry our colors. 
-Parade Start: 1:00 PM, proceeding down Main Street, to Broadway, and onto 16th Street. 
-Prizes: The CDC and local sponsors will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place parade entries! 
-Candy may be thrown, but no paper flyers can be handed out. 

New This Year!
-Live Irish Band: The Crowfoot Rakes from Des Moines, performing 2:00-4:00 PM on West Broadway near Avenue C. Bring a lawn chair and enjoy the show! 
-Beer Garden: Sponsored by The Old Fashioned.
-Pub Crawl: Starts at the beer garden! Stop at participating pubs (Primetime, Just One More, and The Old Fashioned) and return to the beer garden to claim a FREE Pub Crawl Koozie from ID Apparel. 
-Hot Chocolate for sale at two locations: Corner of Broadway & Main and mid-block between Cobalt CU & UBI, sponsored by Denison Parks & Rec.
-Irish Eats: Tiney’s Food Truck will serve Corned Beef & Cabbage with creamy potatoes or a classic Reuben sandwich. Tap & go payments accepted!
