Amanda is an ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist licensed in Texas and Washington, Certified Breastfeeding Specialist, and the founder of Therapy Adventures, PLLC. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, graduating with honors, and a Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology from The University of North Texas.
She has worked as a speech therapist in schools, outpatient clinics, inpatient hospitals, and early intervention. She founded Therapy Adventures in 2021 to actualize her dream of creating a more interactive, supportive, and family-centered pediatric therapy clinic. Amanda has specialized experience in pediatric feeding, early language, and phonological processing disorders and is specializing in orofacial myology. Her passion is helping families love mealtimes together, and helping children learn to love food as much as she does! She also has a special interest in articulation/speech sound disorders, apraxia, and phonological processing disorders. Amanda is a four time recipient of the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from The American Speech-Language Hearing Association, and a mentor to her colleagues. She has extensive experience in feeding difficulties and pediatric dysphagia, tube weaning, early language development and disorders, articulation and phonological disorders, including the following trainings and certifications:
