As an Edward Jones financial advisor, I believe it's important to invest my time to understand what's important to you. After gaining a thorough understanding of each client's investment objectives, background and family situation, I build a customized strategy to help my clients meet their financial goals.

I began my financial career in 2004 with Edward Jones. While working for the firm, I earned my master's degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. This has served me well as a financial advisor, helping individuals and families in Wood River and surrounding area grow and protect their hard-earned wealth.

I am a proud member of the Wood River community where I serve on our local Rotary Club and as a board member of Operation Blessing. Our branch team also supports the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's, a cause that is close to our hearts. Outside of the office, I am a big fan of our local professional baseball team. Go Cardinals!

My Branch Office Administrator, Amy Martin, and I work as a team to give you the personal service you deserve when it comes to planning for your financial future. Working together, we have built meaningful relationships with community members, while helping them stay on track toward their goals.

If you value a personal relationship and professional guidance, it would be my pleasure to meet with you and help you create a financial strategy that you can not only understand, but also get excited about.

Our newest funeral home, built in 2002, has all the accouterments of a funeral home built for the 21st century.  Our large chapel, and its spacious layout will accommodate receiving lines for larger visitations without becoming cumbersome.  As well as our other locations, this chapel can also be split into two smaller chapels via a folding, sound rated wall.

This facility also has a large entryway and foyer, our Bethalto location offers a nice area away from the chapel for people to visit. This location has the largest lounge of all three locations.  The lounge has two tables, a sink, a refrigerator, a soda vending machine, a couch, and access to a smoking area outfitted with two benches. The lounge is also home to our children’s area that has games, toys, and access to a television.  This entire facility is handicapped-accessible and located all on one level.

Our Bethalto facility also houses a preparation room where the embalming, dressing, cosmetic application, and casketing take place. This location also boasts a casket showroom with eight full-size caskets and numerous cut caskets displays and personalization options. With an area devoted to urns, there are also plenty of personalization options for those who chose cremation

Our Godfrey location offers many of the amenities you’ve come to expect from funeral homes as well as many updated options. This location is all on one level and completely handicapped accessible.  This location also has two chapels: one serving as our main chapel, and one serving as an additional chapel for two simultaneous visitations or an overflow area to be used for services or to accommodate long receiving lines.  This location has retractable walls, therefore, the chapels can be split to accommodate multiple families at the same time, the second chapel can also be set up as a memorial tribute video viewing room with added chairs, couches, and tables.

This location also has a lounge with many amenities such as a refrigerator,  soda vending machine, coffee station, and a television and DVD player with a few family-friendly movies,  cable TV, two table and chairs. Our Godfrey facility, built-in 1987, is home to Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Crematory to assure our families that owning our own crematory gives you the peace of mind  that your loved one will always be in our care.   This location has a casket room with multiple casket displays, urns, and models of outer burial containers and vaults.

Bob Stocker, a firefighter from Wood River, Illinois, founded Fire Safety, Inc. in 1968 after noticing that local businesses needed fire extinguishers. With support from his wife Mary, a few hundred dollars, and a 1954 Ford pick-up, Bob started the business in his basement.

We moved out of Bob’s basement a long time ago and that old Ford has been replaced by 20+ service vehicles which cover a large portion of Illinois and Missouri.

Fire Safety, Inc. remains a family-owned business; operated by Donna Karpan, Bob and Mary’s niece. Fire Safety’s employees are some of the best in the industry with many employees exceeding 30+ years of service. The company remains dedicated to the core values of integrity, quality, expertise, and service established by Bob. Fire Safety offers comprehensive fire protection services for residential, commercial, and industrial needs.
