On August 10, 2024, we had a wonderful time at Bianca's
Haven's inaugural fundraiser. The collaborative efforts and support from
various individuals and organizations contributed to the event's success and
advancement of the crucial cause of combating human trafficking.
A special thank you to Henry Ford Health for their generous
sponsorship demonstrating a commitment to supporting initiatives that address
pressing social issues. Thank you, Sheriff Michael Bouchard, for being the
keynote speaker and sharing invaluable insight during the event, which
underscore the importance of community collaboration in combating human
trafficking and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
Heidi Warrington MSN, RN, CNRN highlighted the essential
role of healthcare professionals in providing support to those affected by
human trafficking. The contributions of Jeremy Locke and James Queen for the
use of their beautifully landscaped home, Donna Miriani and the volunteers from
BCBSM, photographers Samuel and Denise Buckley, donors, organizations that
provided raffle gifts, Bama Dogs, LLC., and enthusiastic participants
collectively made a significant impact in raising awareness and resources for Bianca's
Haven.
I must acknowledge the exceptional contributions of the
esteemed board of directors, including Dr. Danielle Jordan Bastien, Dr. Santosh
Mudiraj, Bianca Reaves PhD Candidate, and Wendy Tiller RN, BSN, is a testament
to their unwavering dedication, expertise, and passion in advancing the mission
of Bianca's Haven.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the
fundraiser and for standing in solidarity with Bianca's Haven in this vital
mission.
