The 2024 Historians of the Year were honored at the La Porte County Historical Society Museum last Tuesday. Congratulations and thank you to Dorothy Palmer, Cutler Funeral Home, and the Larson-Danielson Construction Company for all their achievements in preserving and promoting the history of La Porte County. We also honored George Wood Allen posthumously. He was a talented architect who designed many houses and buildings in La Porte County. Jack Allen, the great-grandson of George Wood Allen, received the the Historian of the Year award on his behalf. Thank you to all who came out to support and honor the Historians of the Year for 2024.
