Canterbury Summer Theatre presents its final production of the 2024 season with the comic thriller, Murder at the Howard Johnson's, running August 1-3.

Rick Clark and Sam Bobrick penned this light and funny story about a love triangle in a Howard Johnson Motor Inn.

The play involves a woman, her lover, and her husband, with three separate murder plots being hatched. As matters unfold in a hilarious fashion, it's unclear whether any of the schemes will succeed.

Murder at the Howard Johnson's is produced in conjunction with the theatre department of Bossier Parish Community College as part of a longstanding partnership with Canterbury. The production will premiere in Michigan City, then travel back for a multi-week run in Louisiana.

Canterbury Artistic Director, Ray Scott Crawford, will stage the play.

The cast includes Blaine Fultz, Lily Coe, and Brody Hines.

Costumes are by Rona Leber, Scenic and lighting design is by David White. Stage management duties will be handled by Mikayla Hicks.

Please note that there will only be three performances of this show--Thursday at 2:00 pm, Friday evening at 7:00 pm and 2:00 on Saturday.

Regular admission is $20, or $18 for seniors 62 and older, and $10 for students and military.

Tickets can be purchased by phone at (219) 874-4269 or e-mail info@canterburytheatre.org

Canterbury Summer Theatre, one of the Midwest's oldest professional summer companies, is produced under the auspices of the Canterbury Guild, a nonprofit arts organization, which also manages the Canterbury Winter Arts Series.
