Blue Bash proceeds will help ensure BGCLPC is
able to continue to provide free youth development programming in 2023 and
beyond. Following a significant expansion during the 2021/2022 school year, the
organization now offers afterschool Clubs at 5 locations in Michigan City,
Westville and Kingsford Heights, in addition to a popular full-day summer camp.
Substantial additional growth is planned to begin early next year in
conjunction with BGCLPC’s ongoing Great Futures Capital Campaign.
“For the past two years, our team has been
focused on evolving our programs as needed to safely serve local kids and
families during the pandemic,” says Michelle Shirk, BGCLPC Chief Executive
Officer. “Blue Bash will provide us with a welcome opportunity to come together
with our community to share what we have accomplished together, while looking
ahead to what comes next.”
Blue Bash will feature blue décor, a buffet dinner, dancing and a cash
bar. Entertainment will be provided by Emcee David Greer of D&G
Entertainment in partnership with Michigan City DJ Wesley Scully, aka DJ
Nightrain. Attendees are encouraged to
wear anything they like – jeans, sequins or a ball gown – as long as it’s blue!
Tickets and sponsorships can be purchased at www.bgclpc.org/bluebash/.
“We’re
looking forward to a fun night of celebrating Boys and Girls Clubs of LaPorte
County’s achievements, as well as the future possibilities for kids in our
community,” says Jennifer Bonetski, BGCLPC Board Member and Special Events Committee
Co-Chair.
Boys & Girls Clubs of La Porte County is
