Marsh Elementary to Receive about $40,000 in School Supplies from Enchanted Backpack
Enchanted Backpack will be delivering approximately $40,000 in school supplies to Marsh Elementary School, including classroom supplies, books, gym shoes, clothing, hygiene products, winter coats, and more. As of June 2022, 83 percent of Marsh students qualify for free/reduced lunch, and teachers often cover the cost of classroom supplies. Volunteers will be on hand to help unload this large donation of supplies, and MCAS plans to greet Enchanted Backpack and celebrate this delivery with students, teachers, and staff.

ABOUT ENCHANTED BACKPACK: Enchanted Backpack is a 501(c)3 organization started by the Lavin Family Foundation. It is a charitable organization serving under-resourced elementary and middle schools in Northern Illinois and Northwest Indiana, and is expanding its support to include Florida. Enchanted Backpack was started with the belief that all children deserve to have the tools they need to learn and excel and that all teachers deserve to have the support and materials to make their classrooms exciting learning centers. Each school year, Enchanted Backpack will support at least 20,000 students and 1,200 classroom teachers.
