QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience, or 3+ years of accounting experience with a CPA.
An equivalent combination of experience and education may be qualifying.
Special Requirements
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
- Ability to perform complex financial accounting analyses.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certification such as Certified Public Account (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Understanding of the electric utility industry and regulatory environment is a plus.
