Requirements:
Must be between 18 - 20 years of age at the date of hire. Must be a United States citizen.

Must have a high school diploma or furnish evidence of a successful completion of an examination indicating an equivalent achievement (e.g. GED test).
Must not have committed, been convicted of, had expunged for, or been placed on diversion by any state or federal agency for a felony crime or serious misdemeanor.
No tattoos on the hands, face or neck.
Must possess a valid driver’s license prior to beginning employment with the City.
Must reside within 90 minutes from Overland Park Police Department Stations.
Cadets are required to enroll as a full-time student at Johnson County Community College. Educational costs associated with this will be covered as a part of employment.
Must pass a polygraph examination and background investigation.
Must pass the psychological evaluation, drug screen, and physical.
No experience required
No City residency requirement.
Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, physical exam and essential functions test.

Salary: $16 Per Hour
