The Youth Program Coordinator for Leadership LaPorte County will be responsible for the planning, execution, and follow-up of all youth-oriented programs developed and implemented by Leadership LaPorte County and will assist the Director of Leadership LaPorte County as needed or directed by the Board of Directors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Administration and Program Support

• Track class sign ups, create database of applicants, create and send acceptance documents, create and send individual invoices to each participant, track payments, follow-up on unpaid, populate email distribution list, add new class members to Constant Contact, request photos/profiles from each class member, design class roster with photos/profiles, track attendance.

• Create name badges, tent signs, program binder

• Arrange for food (breakfast and lunch, make coffee, beverages), create class invitations, set up tables and chairs, clean up, transport materials to and from each session

• Assist with record keeping and provide overall administrative support of programs

High School Program

• Review school calendars to determine any conflicts with dates

• Contact locations for 4 different sessions with date options

• Create/Update application, Update and send informational letters to schools and parents

• Send welcome letter to all students and parents

• Research and update school contact list for distribution of applications

• Send application information to school contacts

• Follow up with schools close to deadline

• Create name badges, tent signs and copy all materials

• Create and process surveys at conclusion of each session

• Gather and haul all materials

• Coordinate breakfast and lunch

• Set up tables and chairs at each location

• Clean up and bring materials back to office

• Create and process surveys from each session

• Thank you letters to speakers and hosts

Leadership LaPorte County Youth (middle school) program

• Update and maintain contacts at all schools

• Create and update application and informed consent materials

• Assist in promoting camp with general public and community partners

• Track sign ups, create spreadsheet of contact information, populate email distribution list

• Assist in planning and coordinating all sessions

• Generate volunteer assistance

• Coordinate locations, activities, snacks, guest speakers

• Send invitations and track attendance

• Conduct pre and post surveys for grant reporting

Youth to Youth

• Send invitation to selected students

• Track signed commitment forms

• Hold informational meeting explaining the program

• Hold training session (update, copy and print training materials)

• Schedule grant interviews and prepare materials for grant recipients

• Serve as staff liaison for program

Adolescent Community Engagement

• Benchmark other programs

• Update application, PR materials, logo on Leadership website

• Monitor and support outreach

• Monitor and support ACE Facebook and Instagram pages

• Coordinate goal setting with new ACE officers

• Serve as liaison between A.C.E. and LLC Board Community & Public Relations

• Manage Constant Contact database of email addresses

• Create and send e-blast newsletters and event invitations

• Manage website content and promotion of youth programing

• Design and create flyers, social media artwork, etc. as needed

• Attend Leadership Board/Youth Committee meetings

• Other duties as assigned by Executive Director and Board of Directors

Requirements

The position reports to Executive Director. Must be over 18 years of age, with high school diploma/GED. Post high school experience is preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and mode of transportation.

Preferred candidate has experience in MS Office Applications (outlook, word, excel), general business writing and comfortable speaking in groups/working with youth. Experience creating content on social media and in Canva is a plus.
