Overview/Job Responsibilities:
Know and understand resident service plans and
care needs
Assist residents with ADL’s (activities of daily
living) including, but not limited to dressing, toileting, ambulating, bathing,
personal hygiene and eating
Provide excellent dementia communication to
residents and family members
Report to the administrator, nurse and
authorized designee on shift
Medication aide is additionally responsible for
overseeing the building during non-business hours, passing medications,
processing physician orders and charting
Qualifications: (training will be provided after hire date)
Must obtain a Food Handler Permit
Must obtain a First Aid Card
Must complete training assigned through Oregon
Care Partners
Must be able to lift 25lbs
Must be able read, write and communicate with
staff and residents in English
Basic computer skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years old
Key Competencies:
Leadership, professionalism, excellent communication skills.
Experience with dementia is a plus, but not required. Must be able to work as a
part of a care team.
Compensation: $17-$20 starting wage. Benefits available for
full-time employees after 90-days.
