Overview/Job Responsibilities:
Know and understand resident dietary needs
Oversee meal preparation: cooking, presentation,
cleanliness
Serving meals and bussing tables after meal
service
Kitchen and dining room cleanliness and organization
(in compliance with Oregon Administrative Rules and Community Based Care kitchen
standards)
Ensure food safety (per Oregon Food Handler
standards)
Monitor food and equipment temperatures
Assist and support Dietary Manager and Dietary
staff as needed
Qualifications: (training will be provided after hire date)
Must be able to understand and follow recipes
Must be able to lift 25lbs
Must obtain a Food Handler Permit
Must obtain a First Aid Card
Must complete training assigned through Oregon
Care Partners
Must be able read, write and communicate with
staff and residents in English
Key Competencies:
Leadership, professionalism, excellent communication skills.
Previous kitchen experience and/or experience with dementia is a plus, but not
required. Must be able to work as a part of a team.
Compensation: $15-$17 starting wage. Benefits available for
full-time employees after 90-days.
