The Manager of Upward Bound will coordinate and manage the in-school component of the Upward Bound program. The Manager will design and implement activities to meet the federal grant requirements and assess student progress to meet grant objectives. This position’s responsibilities include identifying, screening, and selecting Upward Bound applicants from the local target schools. Other responsibilities include planning cultural/educational field trips, presenting program information within community agencies, meeting with parents, advocating for students, and conducting bi-weekly group meetings and workshops.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Prior experience working with disadvantaged youth, particularly in the secondary school setting.
- Familiarity with service area and target school.
