Welcome to the world of ceramics! This 6-week workshop is designed to introduce you to the fundamental techniques and creative possibilities of working with clay. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to expand your skills, this course offers a hands-on exploration of ceramics in a relaxed and supportive environment. Over the six weeks, you’ll learn: Hand-building techniques including pinch pots, coiling, and slab construction; Wheel-throwing basics such as centering, shaping, and trimming clay on the potter’s wheel; surface decoration techniques like carving, texturing, and applying slips or underglazes; glazing and firing techniques including understanding the glazing process and how kilns bring your creations to life. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created a collection of your own unique ceramic pieces to take home and enjoy. Come ready to get your hands dirty and explore the endless possibilities of clay. Let’s get started!                

**We plan workshops 6-12 months in advance and make every effort to accurately calculate material costs. Due to fluctuating costs of materials, we will notify you 2 weeks in advance of the start of your workshop if the price has increased. Typically this will be a marginal fee of $10-$50.**
