Spring Stained Glass Class
Date: Session 1: Sunday, April 6 from 1-4 PM
Session 2: Saturday, April 12 from 1–3 PM

Create your own beautiful Easter-inspired
stained glass sun catcher! A condensed two-day beginner workshop will introduce
you to the fine art of Tiffany-style stained glass.
All materials will be
provided, including glass, patterns, tools, and equipment.
Session 1: An introduction to
stained glass; students will learn about the history of stained glass, the
different types of glass and stained-glass styles, and choose from an
assortment of glass to complete their projects. Students will have hands-on
experience using tools to score and cut glass and will complete a rough layout
of their glass projects.
Session 2: Students will prepare
their projects for soldering using the Tiffany style of copper foiling. Each
piece of glass will be edged with copper foil and students will be amazed at
how their projects transform into beautiful works of art!
Grinding and soldering will be
completed by the instructor. Completed soldered projects will be available for
pick-up at SCAHC on 18 Apr 25.
Students may choose from 5
projects: Dove, Bunny Butt, Easter Bunny, Tulip, or Easter Egg. Please choose
which project you would like to do when you sign up for the class.
*If you wear readers, bring them!
You will definitely need your eyes.
*Closed-toed shoes and safety
glasses are recommended, especially when cutting glass.
