Required Education/Experience:
- Candidate must have completed, at minimum, an associate’s degree in Agricultural Mechanization or highly related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least three years’ experience in the equipment service industry is required.
- Demonstrated expertise in mechanical principles related to agricultural mechanics, hydraulics, electrical, and powertrain.
- Knowledge and experience operating equipment and implements
- Knowledge and experience in precision agriculture technology
- Desired applicants should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, a passion for education, an understanding of the community college population, a commitment to the mission and a vision of SFCC, and a concern for rigorous academic standards, retention, completion, outcomes assessment, and the mastery of active learning techniques in the classroom.
- Preference is given to those with previous community college teaching experience, particularly those with experience teaching agriculture equipment service courses.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to interact verbally in person, over the telephone, and via written and electronic media.
- Ability to move about campus and other locations.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to use tools and lift up to 50 lbs.
