As a non-profit community hospital, Fitzgibbon Hospital is vital to the health and well-being of the communities it serves in the Marshall, MO and surrounding area. We are looking for a self-driven compassionate Patient Accounts Representative to join our Patient Accounts team. We offer a competitive salary and benefit package.

A Patient Accounts Representative:

Positively assists patients with meeting their financial obligations
Submission of insurance claims to multiple payors
Contacts insurance companies to follow up on claims and appeals
Maintains acceptable levels of accounts receivable

Shift:

Full-Time - 40 hours per week
8a-4:30p - Monday through Friday

Requirements

This job is ideal for someone who is/has:

Billing experience
Dependable: reliable transportation and positive contact number. Arrives to work on time with a positive attitude.

Adaptable/flexible: enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction. Able to multitask and able to refocus after interruption.

Achievement oriented: enjoys taking on challenges, and willing to research and find answers. Knowledgeable of current Medicare and designated payor billing rules.
Independent: enjoys working with little direction. Understand the end goal and takes ownership in achieving that goal.
