= Graduation
from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in accounting,
business administration, public administration or a related field. Certified Public Accountant preferred;
= Two years’ work experience in professional accounting work, preferably governmental accounting or government auditing;
= Proficiency
working knowledge of accounting software and systems;
= Ability
to prepare and maintain detailed and accurate financial, accounting and
statistical records; ability to accurately count, record and balance accounting
transactions;
= Ability
to establish and maintain cooperative working relations with those contacted in
the course of work. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Work
independently in the absence of supervision. Working knowledge of City and
department policies and procedures.
