Some mechanical experience is recommended for this position. This experience need not be isolated in any specialty. High school diploma or GED is preferred, although experience may be substituted for formal education. All applicants must possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License and must include a copy of a DMV report at time of application {report may not be more than 30 days old}. Communication skills must include a command of the English language in speech, reading and writing. Physical Qualifications: To ensure the safety and health of each employee the Company utilizes testing procedures which help evaluate lifting postures and habits. This position requires the ability to lift various objects more than 100#. The applicant must be able to communicate verbally and aurally with customers in person and via telephone. The applicant must be in sufficient physical condition to fulfill these daily requirements. Applicants must be able to perform required duties in an environment that possesses a broad range of temperatures as work is performed without climate control or out of doors. The ability to perform maintenance on a variety of powered and non-powered equipment from various postures or positions is mandatory. Any needed tools and supplies will be provided by the company for this position. All applicants must be able to safely operate company vehicles if requested {these vehicles are unmodified to accommodate operation by disabled citizens}. All applicants must submit to a Physical Examination, Functional Capacity Exam, and a Non-DOT drug screen conditional to hiring. Job Responsibilities Facility · Sweep / maintain clean and orderly yard and storage area · Ensure all storage room(s) / areas organized, cleaned and labeled · Ensure all tools and support equipment organized and clean. · Ensure accessory equipment is functional and organized. · Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs · Report any safety violations to your supervisor · Keep all rental equipment clean and neatly displayed Administrative · Forward all parts requests to supervisor for processing. · Maintain paperwork and file accuracy and organization · Read, write and be able to comprehend equipment manuals and diagnostic documents Equipment Maintenance: · Spot equipment malfunctions · Tune-up, overhaul, diagnosis and prognosis of equipment failure · Welding fabrication when required · Conduct routine safety checks and periodic maintenance inspections · Thoroughly check equipment for proper operation · Properly complete and utilize equipment maintenance tagging system · Perform jobsite service of equipment when required Customer Service · Greet customer with a kind and professional demeanor · Assist customers in a timely manner · Assist with explanation of repairs and status of customer’s equipment as needed · Provide clear and complete safety and operation instructions on all rented and repaired equipment Other • Attend store and safety meetings • Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Job Functions: · Capable of lifting loads more than 100 lbs. · Capable of driving unmodified company delivery vehicles. · Capable of communicating effectively, oral and written, using the English language. · Capable of safely demonstrating the operation of various forms of equipment. · Ability to diagnose and repair safety and mechanical malfunctions of various forms of equipment.
