POSITION SUMMARY The On-Call Psychiatric Emergency Services Clinician is responsible for providing emergency assessments and recommendations for individuals experiencing mental health crisis outside of regular business hours. Will work collaboratively with Emergency and behavioral health staff to identify client needs, develop service delivery and safety plans, make recommendations for ongoing care and ensure appropriate level of care. Works with individuals, their families, guardians, physicians, health care professionals and community resources, to provide necessary services to stabilize clients. She/he must assure consistency in his/her service delivery, consumer/staff interaction, and effective and timely documentation. She/he is expected to maintain the highest professional standards. The On-Call Psychiatric Emergency Services Clinician has no supervisory responsibilities.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Minimum of a Masters degree in social work or related field, with respective licenses or eligibility for licensure. EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of and experience in crisis intervention. REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work dually diagnosed clientele, clients with mental health disorders, substance use disorders, traumatic brain injury clientele and other client populations as identified by agency grant requirements. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills; competent with basic computer skills.
