About the speaker: Jacqui Spicer, Ed.D and President of Baker College
On September 1, 2022, Dr. Jacqui Spicer became the first female Baker College system president in the institution's 113-year history. Jacqui Spicer is a dedicated mentor, educator, and a passionate advocate for transformation and innovation. Her primary focus is on revitalizing Baker College and instilling a student-first philosophy that places students at the core of all decision-making. Additionally, she is committed to enhancing educational outcomes and promoting social mobility.
Under her leadership, Baker College opened its latest campus, the Royal Oak campus, which is one of six campuses located in Michigan. As the system president for the Baker College brands, including St. Francis School of Law, Culinary Institute of Michigan, and Auto Diesel Institute, Jacqui oversees and guides these diverse educational entities, offering a wide range of academic programs, from associate degrees to doctoral degrees.
