SCCA National Championship Runoffs

SCCA National Championship Runoffs
The Sports Car Club of America returns to Road America in 2024 and 2025 for the 61st and 62nd running of the annual SCCA National Championship Runoffs, a gathering where the top SCCA racers in the country go head-to-head and prove who is best. Throughout its 50+ year history, the Runoffs have been held at legendary tracks. It is an event that caps the SCCA Road Racing program each year and has evolved into what is widely known as the pinnacle of U.S. amateur road racing.

Plymouth High School alumni and the Plymouth-area community are encouraged to enjoy 2024 Homecoming activities on Friday Oct. 4!

 

• Parade: The parade will begin at 4:15pm through downtown Plymouth. The route will begin near East Main and Caroline streets, head south to Mill Street, east on Mill to North Street, then north back to Main.

 

• Brat fry: 5:30-9pm at the Finke Field concession stand; sponsored by PHS Soccer Booster Club

 

• Game: Varsity Football hosts Port Washington, 7pm; admission $5 ($2 for grades 5-12, $1 for grades K-4, free for ages 62+ & PHS students with ID).

 

PHS alumni are invited to sign in at the Plymouth Education Foundation welcome tent, sign up for the foundation email list, and purchase a Panther tumbler for $20.

Fans also can follow the action live courtesy of Plymouth Community Television on TV Channel 14 and on its YouTube channel, and radio station Cow Country at 1420AM, 98.5FM, 107.3FM and http://www.cowcountry.us.

Public Reception For Paint the Towns in Fall Color

The public is invited to a festive reception and silent auction on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 6pm to 9pm to view the paintings created at this year’s Paint the Towns in Fall Color event. It is a great opportunity to meet the participating Paint the Towns Artists and to bid on your favorite piece of local art at the Silent Auction until 9:00pm. Awards will be presented at 6:45 pm. After the reception and silent auction, the unsold works will remain in Gallery 110 North through November 15 and be for sale at a “Buy it Now” retail price. This free admission reception features live music by Zach Holzer. Complimentary appetizers and desserts will be served.

Midwest artists who are interested in participating in this annual en Plein Air (outdoor painting) competition and exhibition, coordinated by artist Dan Rizzi, may visit or call the Plymouth Arts Center, 920.892.8409. Echoes of Influence: Tracing the Legacy and Evolution of Sheboygan Senior Community

Sheboygan, WI – September 24, 2024 – Sheboygan Senior Community (SSC) is thrilled to announce its first exhibition since the pandemic, “Echoes of Influence: Tracing the Legacy and Evolution of Sheboygan Senior Community.” This special event will take place on Friday, October 18, with a resident viewing from 2 PM to 4 PM and a public viewing from 4 PM to 6 PM.

Echoes of Influence will explore SSC’s rich history, celebrating the individuals who have shaped our community over the years. Melissa Thiel, Director of Life Enrichment, shares, “This exhibition highlights the powerful role that memories, emotions, and connections to people, places, and moments play in our lives. The artists' works are not only visually captivating but also evoke a deep sense of personal nostalgia.”

Attendees will enjoy a gallery of artwork created by community members, residents, and staff, honoring SSC’s heritage and ongoing evolution.

Celebrate fall with a slumber party at Camp Y-Koda! On Friday evening, arrive wearing your favorite costume for a pizza party, trick or treating, and a movie. On Saturday, we will spend the day participating in classic camp activities, crafts and games! All meals, snacks, and beverages will be provided.

Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, pajamas, toiletries, and a change of clothing for the next day. Please make sure your child has adequate clothing for spending a lot of time outdoors. This event will happen rain, snow, or shine!
