On September 14, 2023 Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County will be hosting bingo at the Willards Lions Club. Doors will open at 5:00pm with the first game starting at 7:00pm. All prizes are cash prizes. Food and drinks will be available for purchase along with specialty games for the chance to win more money. An additional fall bingo night is scheduled for October 19^th, 2023

Proceeds from this event go directly to Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County and helping serve more families with affordable housing here in Wicomico County.

Take your tastebuds on a tour of Morocco via MAC’s September Lunch Around the World! The menu features Moroccan beef over Jasmine rice, Taktouka (Moroccan salad), flatbread and lemon cake.

Orders must be placed in advance. Orders are due by noon on Friday, Sept. 15; pick up meals on Wednesday, Sept. 20, between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., in the MAC lobby.

      The cost is $12, to benefit MAC’s Meals on Wheels.

Visiting Angels of the Eastern Shore is celebrating their 10th year anniversary with a ribbon cutting.!  

The first office opened in Easton in 2013, and they've added two additional locations including the headquarters in Salisbury (2015) and Berlin (2019).               

Visiting Angels is a non-medical home health care provider covering all 8 counties of Maryland's Eastern Shore.  They specialize in Alzheimer's and Dementia care and are credited with the Veterans Administration to care for Vets through their HHA program. Their goal is to keep clients at home and independent for as long as possible.

The 2023 Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Classic, presented by Spicer Brothers Construction, will be held on September 29, 2023 at River Marsh Golf Club in Cambridge, MD.

This is the SACC premier networking event of the year, where business experts and community leaders from all over Delmarva gather for a golf tournament like no other.  

Participants say this tournament is unique, enjoyable, and a great opportunity to connect with colleagues and make new connections!

The day’s festivities will begin with registration and breakfast starting at 8:00 AM, followed by a 50/50 Ball Drop on the driving range.

Take steps to make a difference! Register now to participate in MAC Inc.’s Soles for Seniors 1-Mile Fun Walk.

The walk will be held at the beautiful WinterPlace Park in Salisbury on Sunday, Oct. 1, as part of inaugural Soles for Seniors Festival to benefit MAC Inc. programs. Festival hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Walk check-in is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., with the walk stepping off at 9 a.m.

Individual and team registration is available! Advance registration is $20. All who register will get a long-sleeve event T-shirt; the first 50 also will get a Soles for Seniors visor.

Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraising team, top fundraising individual and to the team with the most spirit.

The Soles for Seniors Festival also will feature a 5K run, cornhole tournament with cash prizes, craft fair, vendors, children’s area featuring fun games and prizes, and food trucks offering an assortment of edibles. All ages are welcome.

The 5K will be held at the beautiful WinterPlace Park in Salisbury on Sunday, Oct. 1, as part of the inaugural Soles for Seniors Festival to benefit MAC Inc. programs.

Check in for the 5K is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., with the run starting at 9 a.m.

Registration is $30 in advance, $35 the day of the event. All runners will get a long-sleeve event T-shirt. Registration by Sept. 15 is encouraged to ensure getting your desired T-shirt size. 

Cash prizes and other awards will be presented to top male and female runners in various age groups. MAC is excited to partner with Seashore Striders, the premier race management organization on the Shore, to present the 5K.
