Santa on Story

Get ready for a fun holiday experience for all ages hosted by your very own Shops on Story collaborative!
Thursday, December 5th through Saturday, December 7th stop by any participating store and grab a scavenger hunt list. Go to each store listed and find the hidden holiday book! Saturday between 12-3pm come to Melissa Bell Photography to turn in your list. While there, grab a treat and photos with SANTA!!

All correct entries will be put into a drawing for an awesome prize! No purchase is necessary, it’s free to play along. But if you’re looking for the perfect holiday gifts or maybe to treat yourself, the participating businesses have something for everyone!

Boone Historical Museum Annual Soup Supper Fundraiser

November we honor our Veterans with a display.

December 5th,2024 is the annual soup supper fundraiser 430-7PM Dine in or carryout. Variety of soups, condiments, muffin/roll, veggies/dip,cookie and a drink for $8. Kids under 5 free. Join us!

In December look for the annual newsletter which will include your membership renewal form. If you prefer you can renew online at www.bchsiowa.org. Consider recruiting a friend to join the center or give a membership as a Christmas or birthday gift.

Thursday, December 5th. The Boone Holiday Parade will start at 5:30. the theme will be Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree.if for can have everyone meet around 5:15-5:25pm that day would be great so we can get pictures and get ready. I will have more information on the line up when it gets closer. please Mark if your troop can be there.
Make sure to dress accordingly for the weather.

Community Christmas Celebration

Join us for some holiday fun sponsored by Landus

. The parade will begin at 5:30, running from 6th to 9th on Story Street. Parade prizes are sponsored by Midland Power. At the conclusion of the parade, head to the Greenspace for the tree lighting. Stick around to let the kiddos get a goodie bag and picture with Santa.
FREE hot cocoa and cookies provided by Hy-Vee. Join the Boone County Historical Society for their annual soup supper from 4:30-7:00.

Guest speaker...Sadie Woodley. Hear Sadie's conversion story, emphasizing the role that Scripture and the teachings of the Church have played in helping her change her understanding of identity, relationships, and purpose.

She will discuss her background before coming to the Church,
as well as how her ideas about life were shaped by her Muslim upbringing, as well as the secular values and feminism she was taught.

Her focus will be on how and what changed in her head and heart
when she came to Christ, and the positive impact that has had on her life.

The doors to Boone Valley Brewing will open at 7 pm with the program beginning at 7:30 pm.

We will be taking a free-will offering to help offset event costs.

Come meet and take pictures with Grinch with a donation of a new, unopened and unwrapped toy. Every year 515 Cornhole holds a toy and food drive to donate to families in need before the holidays!
