Home Front Housing for the Green & Blue Organization
HomeFront Housing for the Green & Blue Organization, Inc. is a non-profit veteran organization committed to helping end veteran homelessness in Alabama.
We provide liaison services in an effort to alleviate the problems and challenges currently facing our veterans as they seek housing, employment, additional education and the transition back into mainstream society.
We work in conjunction with current state and local initiatives to ensure veterans are receiving the level of care, understanding and respect they have earned through service to our country.
We have vowed to spread the word about resources available for our veterans.
To help our veterans during the Christmas holiday we spearhead an annual toy drive "Soldier Tree", specifically aimed at ensuring that children of deployed, wounded and fallen service men and women of this great country can have a joyful holiday season.

Jefferson County Commissioner Sheila Tyson
www.jccal.org
I am the Commissioner for Jefferson County District Two. District Two has 45 neighborhoods in the City of Birmingham. It also includes the City of Brighton, City of Lipscomb and the Bessemer Cutoff. A Commissioner serves on a County Commission form of government. The Commission is a body of elected commissioners that serve both the executive and the legislative duties, meaning they enact local ordinances and administer them. They approve budgets and oversee spending. The Commission consists of five officials. Previously, I was a Birmingham City Councilor for District Six. I was sworn in as a County Commissioner in November 2018.
