We are a four-provider practice serving newborns through 21 years of age in the Delmarva area for over 10 years.

Our mission is to provide quality, evidence-based pediatric care with an emphasis on individual needs. 


Our vision is to improve the quality and health of our patients through education and comprehensive medical care.

Jennifer Wehberg, MD, FAAP:  Dr. Wehberg has been practicing pediatrics for over 20 years. After completing her B.S. at Virginia Polytechnic and State University and her residency at University of Maryland, she began practicing at Carroll Children's Center in Westminster, MD. Dr. Wehberg is the founding provider of Gateway Pediatrics, PA in September of 2009. In addition to practicing at Gateway Pediatrics, PA, Dr. Wehberg gives back to the local community at the Child Advocacy Center (Salisbury). Dr. Wehberg is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. 

Perry M. Adams, PA-C:  PA Adams is a nationally board certi?ed Physician Assistant for over 30 Years! He served in the U.S. Navy where he worked as a Hospital Corpsman in the ICU/Nursery at Balboa Naval Hospital (San Diego, CA). He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Alderson-Broaddus College (1986) – number one in his class. Clinical rotations included pediatrics at Alleghany General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1987-1990 in family practice and has occupational medical experience from the DuPont company in Seaford, DE. He also served in the U.S. Air National Guard from 1992-1996. He has served in pediatric care on Delmarva for the past 20 years and helped start Gateway Pediatrics, PA in September 2009. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Amber M. Adkins, NP-CNP Adkins is a nationally board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She completed her B.S. in Nursing at Salisbury University. NP Adkins spent her entire nursing career in pediatrics providing home visiting services to high-risk families in Sussex County, Delaware. She completed her Masters degree at Wilmington University in May 2016. NP Adkins lives in Salisbury with her husband and two children.

Christine T. Perdue, PNPNP Perdue is a board certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vanderbilt University where she received a Bachelors of Science in Child Development and then continued on to receive a Masters of Science in Nursing, with a specialization in Pediatric Primary Care, in 2012.  A native of Washington DC, NP Perdue returned to DC after graduating and spent the first 5 years of her career working in a pediatric practice for Hispanic patients and she speaks Spanish fluently. She lives in Salisbury with her husband, son, and Chesapeake Bay Retriever "Rosie". She is honored to be a part of the Gateway Pediatrics team.
