The Odessa Chamber of Commerce serves as a catalyst for business
growth. The Chamber connects businesses, customers and people; advocates
for strong business policies and growth; and collaborates with business owners
and leaders for a community vision.The Chamber was founded with the intentions of
uniting small and large businesses in Odessa to represent our members’
interests. The Board of Directors establishes additional goals, areas of focus
and plans of work to ensure a strong return on investment for our business
partners.
Chambers of Commerce have often been viewed by
some as socializing bodies with the purpose of allowing business owners to
network. Although connecting businesses with consumers is still a valuable
resource, today’s Chamber has developed into much more. The Odessa Chamber
works in numerous capacities to promote economic and community development,
while serving as an advocate for Odessa businesses, training future leaders and
promoting our City and attractions to visitors, all while helping to improve
our quality of life for our local residents.
Texas Chamber of Commerce week is a time to
celebrate the Odessa Chamber’s history as a trusted resource leading
business-to-business exchange opportunities. Members of the Chamber benefit
from a broad range of activities that enhance the visibility and reputation of
their business. The Chamber has always taken the lead to celebrate the best
qualities of Odessa and make its residents proud of where we live, work and
raise our families.
During the week of October 19 through October
23rd, the Chamber celebrated and highlighted its members. The Chamber encouraged
the public to go into member businesses and take a photo of themselves inside
the business, next to the business sign, with their favorite product or
service, etc. Then they had to use the hashtag #OdessaChamberMembersRock and
you would be entered to be eligible to win $100 worth of Chamber Member gift
cards.
